Our custom approach to landscape design begins with understanding our clients’ lifestyle goals. Rather than providing cookie-cutter options, we bring 25+ years of creative design solutions to the table, envisioning each project as an organic extension of your home.
At the same time, we view outdoor living as a meaningful investment in both quality of life and the value of your property. So when it comes to implementing a budget, we closely consult with each client to maximize returns—both financially and experientially.
This perspective influences our selection of trusted subcontractors and materials, ensuring that we provide lasting value in each design collaboration. As experts in landscaping for the Colorado climate, we consider questions of sustainability, maintenance and overall longevity, educating our clients on the ongoing impacts of their preferred design choices.
This design-forward, value-oriented and climate-specific approach forms the bedrock of our transparent, collaborative client relationships. With a consistent manager assigned to each project throughout the design-build process, you can feel confident in our ability to build the backyard of your dreams.

MEET OUR FAMILY
Born and raised in the Midwest, Zach and Stephanie Horner moved to Colorado with a shared vision: to build a life rooted in family, purpose and a deep respect for the outdoors. Like many of the clients they serve, they were drawn to the region not only for its natural beauty, but also by the opportunity to create a home and a lifestyle that allowed more time for connection with friends and their son, Theo.
Small business ownership was central to this vision, with Zach’s background as a collegiate athlete and longtime financial advisor shaping his thoughtful approach to complex decision-making and long-term planning. Stephanie, raised in a multi-generational family of entrepreneurs, brought deep experience in recruiting, team development, and organizational leadership—ensuring that people and process remain central to every project.
In 2025, they acquired Browne & Associates, a Denver-based landscape design firm with more than 25 years of local expertise and craftsmanship. Their goal was not to reinvent the firm’s foundation, but to elevate the client experience through transparent communication, a shared sense of investment and a nuanced understanding of how design influences quality of life.
Today, rebranded as Waymark Outdoor Design, the company is guided by experienced designers, craftsmen and project leaders who share a commitment to enduring quality. Zach and Stephanie view themselves as stewards of both the firm’s legacy and each client’s investment, creating environments that foster gathering and transform each family's experience of home.
