When the homeowners purchased this property, the backyard lacked a cohesive sense of purpose or personality. They sought to transform it into a functional and eye-catching extension of their home—a place for both lazy afternoons and lively gatherings. Our focus was to create a flexible environment that could adapt from family time to elegant entertaining, while also visually integrating the design into the style of the existing home.

Centered around a large format pool and spa, a buff flagstone patio connects the various outdoor spaces, seamlessly flowing from cooking and dining, to lounging, to evenings by the fire. Hydrangeas, evergreens and flowering perennials add color and softness to this neutral palette, with strategic lighting offering an ambient glow in the evening hours. The final design feels effortlessly connected to the original home, while significantly elevating the property’s outdoor aesthetic.
