Intimate Poolside Oasis

The owner of this refined brick residence—a professional interior designer—was seeking to extend her family’s living space through the development of a relaxing, garden-like pool area. However, the small scale of the property provided both tight design constraints and prevented the use of machinery onsite, requiring a hand-access-only build with all materials transported manually by our team. 

Our strategy was to design a series of intimate outdoor “rooms” through structured hardscaping and landscaping, including shade structures for comfort on hot days. Our seasonal planting schedule focused on creating a lush, oasis-like atmosphere, while a cozy fire feature and landscape lighting provided additional ambiance in the evenings. The result is an inviting, layered retreat in which the pool serves as a reflective focal point—a landscape that lives large within a compact urban footprint.
